INSTRUCTOR ARNOLD
Founder
Adrian Arnold grew up in North Philadelphia where violence was a constant element in the neighborhood. He witnessed firsthand what happens to those who are unprepared to defend themselves or what they care about. The consequences of being unprepared to defend oneself from violence can be deadly at worst, and traumatizing at best.
While searching for self-empowerment he began to study martial arts. Shortly thereafter he realized the importance of applicability and accessibility in training. Complex movements will be confused and forgotten in a stress scenario. Simplicity in proper training leads to a higher ability to act. Failure to act decisively brings about worst-case scenarios.
During his time in China, he competed in the Chinese freestyle martial art known as Sanda aka Chinese Kickboxing. He trained under Wu Wei affiliated with the Beijing Sanda Team. At this time he earned his first Black Belt. After returning to the USA he continued his studies in Taekwondo, Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Hapkido, and Koryo Gumdo. He currently holds a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo and Karate.
After his completion of training at Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Center which included over 600 hours of instruction while performing the duties of a patrol officer, Arnold saw the trauma violence brings to those unprepared. Shortly thereafter he was moved to instruct others in personal protection. After leaving Law Enforcement he began teaching personal defensive tools to the public full time.
My paramount philosophy is that we all have a responsibility to know how to protect ourselves and defend those we love. We all are capable of honoring this responsibility, one merely needs to activate the will then act, decisively! We owe it to our loved ones who will mourn us if we meet an unnatural end.
In our world of ever-increasing violence, it is key to invest now in skills that hopefully you won’t need in the future. Come share and benefit from my over 15,000 hours of experience in unarmed, and armed conflict resolution. You owe it to yourself and to those who love you.
“The only defense against evil violent men are good men with more skill at violence.” Rory Miller
